Todd Baker and his small teams go several times a year to Israel to talk and share with whoever the Holy Spirit leads. I heard him speaking at a Feast celebration put on by my friend’s “Heart of David Ministries” a few years ago (Gold Coast, Australia) B’rit Hadashah is a non-profit, love ministry and depends on our donations to pay for their costs of travel, accommodation and the literature they take and give away.
If they give up their time to go… and you care about Jews and Israelis hearing about and believing in Yeshua / Jesus in their own land… then please send something by PayPal or other payment methods, to support these angels of the Lord! It must please Yeshua so much when Gentile Christians from all nations support Israel’s poor people with material and monetary gifts… (through the great work of The Christian Friends of Israel, the Christian Embassy in Jerusalem and various other charities) …as well as the committed missionaries like Todd who mainly attend to the spiritual needs.
The Holy Spirit of our Father YAVHEH has brought millions of souls back to the land yet most don’t know about His Son Yeshua yet as their Messiah. How can they believe if no one tells them? Rom.10:12-15 There are only about 15,000 Messianic Jews in Israel (pop. about 7 million) and they often suffer persecution and rejection from the Ultra Orthodox Jews who are still so opposed to “Christianity”…so this ministry is vital to the last days in releasing Jews from the darkness of their minds and the traditions of men! Paul had said that God had partially blinded them until He would call the Gentiles in. Rom.9:22-25, 11:1-32.
All we have is because of the Lord and Israel’s prophets and apostles! Eph.chapters 1 to 4! The average Israeli, who may not be even be very “religious” are quite interested in Yeshua / Jesus it seems. This is spreading the Good News “to the Jews first”… who really matter to God’s prophetic work of restoration in Israel and Jerusalem since 1948. Please help as they are planning their next trip. Please pray God will provide enough monetary support from the Body of Messiah. (Perhaps send this to others you know?)

One recurrent and encouraging sign this ministry has seen in Israel is the ongoing and increasing openness of the Jewish people to the message of Yeshua the Messiah. With each Gospel outreach we take to Israel, I can report more and more Jewish people are opening their hearts and minds to the salvation and forgiveness Yeshua offers as their Messiah and King! Such increasing receptivity in Israel, I believe, is another indication of the soon return of the Lord when the veil of “partial blindness” will be removed from the spiritual eyes of “all Israel” and they will look upon the pierced One and be saved (Romans 11:25-26; Zechariah 12:10). Israel’s national blindness of unbelief towards Jesus being the Messiah, however, does not include individual Jews—as Jewish believers in the Church being the remnant of Israel have already proved. But Jews in Israel are universally receptive to our Gospel presentation that Jesus is the Messiah; and more times than not, eagerly accept a free Hebrew copy of the New Testament! This amazing openness by the Jewish people in the land of Israel is undoubtedly a prophetic indicator the Return of Messiah Jesus draws near; for when He returns, the Jewish people will universally welcome Him back in the name of the Lord as our Lord foretold when He sadly left Israel the first time after they rejected Him (Matthew 23:38-39). The power of God’s prevenient grace is already on the scene in Israel through this ministry signaling the day of universal Jewish reception and acclamation of Jesus is soon to happen.
The State of Israel is in the middle of a political, religious, and military vortex going on all at once. The volatility of the Arab Spring movement, with the wake of more Muslim dictatorships emerging in Egypt and Libya bent on harming Israel, has created a keen curiosity and question among Israelis of “where is all of this going?” The Bible answer is: the Battle of Armageddon and rescue of Israel when Messiah Jesus returns to the land to save them.
I have found the defense mechanism of many Jewish people in Israel is weakening in the current milieu of uncertainty there. They are more and more open to hearing alternative views that challenge long held assumptions and objections made against Jesus. Even some of the most hardened have opened themselves up to hearing the Gospel and reading the New Testament they receive from us. On this last Gospel outreach we finished in October, Harvey Zion and I were astounded to see two security guards change from a shared attitude of open hostility and rejection about Yeshua to a warm acceptance and reception to the Gospel after giving them a powerful presentation from the Hebrew Bible for Jesus being the one and only true Messiah of Israel! Such a radical change of heart and mind was not due to our rhetorical and oratory skills but to the power of the Holy Spirit working through the preaching of God’s Word (see 1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
I also think of Reut, a young lady Harvey and I met in a coffee shop in Qiryat Shimona. As she, for the first time, read the life changing words of John 3:16 in Hebrew from my Bible, and learned this was the quintessence of the message of the Jewish Bible, she exclaimed this was a beautiful act God did when sending the Messiah. When Reut said she wanted to read more of Yeshua’s powerful and wise words, Harvey and I smiled big and wide and gave her a complete Hebrew Bible containing the Old and New Testaments. Reut can now experience eternal life in Messiah just as Jesus promised in John 6:63: “The words I speak to you they are spirit, and they are life.”
The next trip should be even more fruitful than prior ones. There is so much ground left unplowed, more Gospel seed to be planted, watered, and harvested. It is hard to ignore the real needs of the Jewish people in Israel. For this very reason the Holy Spirit recently led this ministry to help a Jewish believer living in Tel Aviv Israel—a single mother by the name of Mazal and her four year old daughter, Shekina, whom the ministry met in June’s Gospel outreach to Israel. The girl’s American father abandoned both of them and does not support them at all. Mazal is a Jewish believer in Jesus. We were able to help them find a better place to live and provide clothing for Shekina. If you would like to help this family in need, we will accept financial donations earmarked for this needy family and others in need in Israel. As this ministry goes forward, it is an honor to bring reports back to you who support and pray for this ministry.
Kenny Gee and I are headed back to Israel this March 2012. We need to raise $6,500 to $7,000 for this upcoming trip as we seek to expand our stay longer to accomplish more for the Lord in the land of His return among His Chosen People. Without your indispensable support, we cannot carry out this life saving mission! I would ask you now to open your hearts and minds wide and consider giving generously to help this ministry. Please take the time to send us whatever financial support the Holy Spirit places upon your heart. To donate through our web site, you can go to the following secure link on our ministry web site:
